I've spent more than a decade in water filtration, helping thousands of Australians improve the water they drink and the water running through their homes.

In that time I kept hearing the same thing. People who'd moved to Australia noticed their hair shedding more than it used to. Others mentioned dry skin, or a scalp that never quite settled. They all asked a version of the same question: could it be the water?

I also noticed a gap. There were plenty of serious options for filtering the water we drink — and almost nothing serious for the water we shower in. Especially for the millions of people living in apartments and rentals, where a whole-house system simply isn't possible.

Then it became personal.

After my hair transplant, my surgeon told me to stay out of swimming pools for several months while my scalp healed. It made complete sense. But it raised a question I couldn't let go of.

If it mattered that much to keep heavily treated pool water off a healing scalp — what about the water I stood under every single morning?

I already knew what was in it. Chloramine, chlorine, heavy metals — I'd spent ten years working with exactly these contaminants. So I went looking for a shower filter I could genuinely trust.

I tested a lot of them. Most didn't come close.

So I built the one I wanted.
